Welcoming February with a Spellstack
You may know that I host a monthly series on Instagram where I provide a caption with placeholders for each person to personalize along with their own photo or video spelling out the month in books. Each month, we post on the first of the month and engage with each other. It's so much fun to see people's creativity and connect with the bookstagram community.

š February may be the shortest month of the year, but it gives us so much to celebrate! From Groundhogās Day to Valentineās Day and Black History Month to Presidentās Day, February is as diverse as our spellstacks!
Between the chaos of the new year and the snowstorm heaped upon us, I feel like I'm still catching up and reorganizing work/life! This week, I'm so excited to be kicking off a live author interview series on my page (on Wed) with tons more content coming after having been fairly quiet this past month.
Check out #Feb26spellstack to see all of the February stacks (and create your own)! DM me on IG @cynsfictionaddiction to join future monthly SpellStacks.
It's been one year since I launched Pinto Prose & Publicity, deciding to work with authors on a more professional level. 2025 exceeded my expectations in ways I couldn't have fathomed this time last year.
When I initially put myself out there, my goal for 2025 was to secure three manuscript reviews. I love a SMART goal, and felt like this was both reasonable and a stretch.
In 2025, I:
received 7 commissions for a manuscript review
completed 5 editing packages
saw one of the books I edited publish (a second one just published this past week!)
edited/proofed a book that was previously published
expanded from editing to PR and PA services for indie authors!
secured 2 monthly retainer clients
This did mean having to let go of some of my own blogging, social media engagement, and leaisure reading in order to prioritize my clients, but I have had so much working with indie authors in so many ways this past year.
And 2026 is already shaping up to be a dream!
Getting to travel with one of my clients to a book event is the goal I didn't know I had, but I'm thrilled to be headed to Dreamers & Readers in Dallas, TX this March and BookCon in NYC in April.
I also have a new monthly retainer client starting up next week that I'm really excited about. She is an author I met two years ago at RomantiCONN and instantly loved. Her magnetic energy drew me in and she was the first that I found to write a soccer romance. Get ready for all the soccer this summer with the World Cup coming stateside!
Besides securing media interviews, bookstore signings and event appearances for each of my authors, a few things I do want to work on in 2026 include:
work with a book retreat company to have one of my authors host a retreat
complete Tina Mars' Bookstagram 101 Course
work on CFA for an hour/week to batch create content
going to the gym 2-3/week (this is a new one for me, but I recently joined a gym nearby and feel so much better about my body when it's active)
make time for me each month, whether it's getting a mani/pedi or meeting a friend for coffee

Ended my January by catching up with a friend at a local cafe and it was such a good reminder for us both to take time for ourselves and meet up kid-free every once in a while.
Stay tuned for all-new book reviews, author spotlights, editing tips, and more coming up this year! And catch me LIVE on Instragram this Wednesday 2/4 with romcom author Angela Casella - and that's just the beginning!
HEY, IāM CYNTHIAā¦
Welcome to my personal book haven! Iām all about diving into stories and chatting with fellow bookworms.
I read pretty much anything and everything in the fiction world, except for horror (itās just a little too spooky for me!). But give me a twisted psychological thriller, and Iām in.
I also love reading ARCs (advance reader copies), so youāll often find my reviews up before or right on the book's publication day.
Happy reading, and letās get lost in stories together!
